Ranchi, Feb 14: An international shopping festival and a large-scale furniture fair opened in Ranchi on Friday, promising to turn the city into a global retail hub for 11 days.
Organised by I Ads & Events, the Thailand International Shopping Festival 2026 and Furniture Fair began on February 13 at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Khelgaon and will continue till February 23. The twin event is being billed as a major retail extravaganza, bringing together international products, fine craftsmanship and contemporary home design under one roof.
The Thailand International Shopping Festival features products from multiple countries, offering visitors a wide range of lifestyle, fashion and specialty items. Exhibitors from Thailand are showcasing flowers, kids’ accessories, home décor, women’s accessories, pearl jewellery, Thai oils and balms, clothing, handbags and artificial jewellery.
Stalls from Singapore are offering handbags and women’s accessories, while participants from Dubai have brought jewellery, baklava, perfumes and chocolates. Iranian exhibitors are presenting men’s and women’s jewellery, along with saffron, dates and chocolates. Products from Afghanistan include dry fruits, saffron and honey, while Malaysia is displaying women’s jewellery and accessories. Artifacts and artificial jewellery from Uganda and lamps and crockery from Tunisia are also on display.
Running alongside the shopping festival is a comprehensive Furniture Fair, featuring thousands of furniture models and interior solutions catering to varied tastes and budgets. Imported leather sofas, outdoor furniture and massage chairs from Malaysia are among the highlights.
Indian exhibitors are presenting ethnic and vintage furniture, sofa sets, dining tables, beds, Sheesham wood furniture, mattresses, home furnishings and handmade paintings. Premium outdoor furniture from Indonesia and Vietnam, frames and water fountains from Thailand, and carpets and rugs from Iran are also drawing attention.
Organisers said the event aims to provide a one-stop destination for homeowners, interior designers and décor enthusiasts seeking style, comfort and affordability.
The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 8.30 pm at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Khelgaon.
