Ranchi, June 14: The Jharkhand Police Headquarters has released an updated list of 58 most-wanted Naxalites in the state as of June 13, with total bounties amounting to ₹7.88 crore. This reduction in the number of active Naxals reflects the success of recent aggressive police operations in districts such as Latehar, Bokaro, and Chaibasa, where many high-profile Naxals have either been killed or arrested. According to police reports, 19 Naxals have been eliminated in 2025 up to June 10, which is the highest number in the last five years. The continuous losses among the top Naxal leadership have significantly weakened the organization, leading to fear and internal conflicts within the groups.
Among those with the highest bounties of ₹1 crore are Misir Besra, Asim Mandal, and Anal Da. Five Naxals, including Anuj alias Sahdev and Brajesh Ganjhu, have bounties of ₹25 lakh each. Ten others, such as Mochu alias Mehnat and Madan Mahto, have bounties of ₹15 lakh. Nine Naxals, including Amit Hansda and Arif Ji, have bounties set at ₹10 lakh. There are 22 Naxals with bounties of ₹5 lakh, including Shiv Singh and Anil Turi, while four Naxals have bounties of ₹2 lakh, and five others, including Israel and Basu Purti, have bounties of ₹1 lakh each.
This new list highlights the significant progress made by Jharkhand police in controlling Naxal violence through persistent and effective security operations.
