Ranchi, September 9: A one-day protest will be organised at all block headquarters across Jharkhand on September 19 against the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, according to a party office order.
The protest, earlier scheduled for September 7, was postponed following the sudden demise of the party’s Central Executive Member and a minister in the Jharkhand government on September 6.
The party has directed its district and metropolitan-level office bearers to ensure the successful organisation of the protest programme at all block headquarters.
According to the notice, the protest will oppose what the party described as the “economic loss caused to the state of Jharkhand and its citizens” by the MMDR Amendment Bill, 2026.
The party has also alleged a “conspiracy of the Central Government to usurp the outstanding amount of Jharkhand”, and said the protest would highlight the issue before the people.
The Central Committee office bearers and members have been asked to inform party workers about the programme and ensure their participation.
“Further programmes will be informed soon through next office order,” the General Secretary said in the notice.
