Ranchi, Sep 18: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organised a Hindi essay competition at its Human Resource Development Department at the headquarters here as part of Official Language Month–2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from officers and employees across its various areas, centralised units and departments.
Both Hindi-speaking and non-Hindi-speaking employees participated actively in the competition, making the event more inclusive and vibrant. The organisation said there was a noticeable increase in employees’ interest, participation and enthusiasm compared with last year.
Participants expressed their views on various subjects through creative and effective essays, reflecting their engagement with the official language initiative.
CCL is also undertaking structured and continuous efforts to strengthen the implementation and use of Hindi as the organisation’s official language. As part of these efforts, two special award categories have been proposed for nodal officers — the Rajbhasha Innovation Pride Award and the Rajbhasha Establishment Award.
The Rajbhasha Innovation Pride Award will recognise nodal officers promoting innovative ideas, new initiatives, creative experiments and effective working methods in official language implementation. The Rajbhasha Establishment Award will recognise those making continuous and notable contributions towards the effective use, promotion and implementation of Hindi.
The organisation said the two awards are aimed at encouraging innovation while strengthening a culture of continuity, excellence and accountability in official language implementation.
Official Language Month activities are being conducted across CCL headquarters, various areas and units, with competitions and programmes being organised at multiple locations.
With more competitions, innovative initiatives and award programmes planned, the organisation said Official Language Month–2026 is aimed at giving fresh impetus to the growing enthusiasm for Hindi and strengthening its role in CCL’s work culture.
