Thiruvananthapuram, India, April 24 – Indian direct-to-consumer fashion and lifestyle brand MYDESIGNATION has raised $1.25 million (INR 10.7 crore) in a seed funding round led by venture capital firm Multiply Ventures, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The round also saw participation from Veltis Capital, Sattva Ventures, Dominor Investment Holdings, and Green Trunk Ventures.
Founded in 2020 by husband-wife duo Swaroop Krishnan and Gopika B Raj, MYDESIGNATION operates as a digital-first brand focused on expressive, community-driven fashion. The Thiruvananthapuram-based startup plans to use the funds to accelerate offline expansion, bolster technology, grow its team, and explore new markets.
“Our goal is to scale with purpose — by investing in mission-aligned people, strengthening our tech stack, and reaching new customers while maintaining financial prudence,” said Krishnan, who serves as CEO.
The company boasts a strong online presence with a community of more than 400,000 Instagram followers, many of whom contribute directly to product development, reflecting MYDESIGNATION’s “co-created by customers” ethos.
With over 500,000 customers and a 35% monthly repeat purchase rate, the brand claims it has doubled its user base in the past year. MYDESIGNATION has maintained profitability for four consecutive years while achieving 100% year-on-year growth. It now aims for a 200% expansion following the funding round.
The investment marks continued interest in India’s D2C fashion space, where consumer-driven innovation and digital engagement are increasingly shaping the growth trajectory of emerging brands.
