Indian Air Force to hold first air show in Jharkhand

Jharkhand to host its first-ever Indian Air Force air show in Ranchi, featuring the Surya Kiran aerobatic team.

Ranchi, April 04: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will organize its first-ever air show in Jharkhand on April 19 and 20, 2025, at the Khoja Toli Army Ground in Ranchi. The event will feature aerial displays by the Surya Kiran aerobatic team.

An IAF delegation met Ranchi Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri to discuss preparations for the air show. During the meeting, the officials shared details regarding the planned activities and logistical arrangements required for the event.

A full dress rehearsal is scheduled for April 17, 2025, ahead of the main event. The Deputy Commissioner assured the IAF team that the Ranchi District Administration will extend all possible support, including administrative preparations, technical assistance, and extensive publicity for the air show.

“Every possible help will be provided by the Ranchi District Administration,” Bhajantri said, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to ensuring a successful event.

The meeting was attended by Wing Commander PK Singh, Squadron Leader Walia, and senior officials from the district administration.
