NEW DELHI, April 17 – COS, the premium fashion brand owned by Sweden’s H&M Group, will open its first store in India at Nexus Select CITYWALK in New Delhi this October, a senior executive at Nexus Select Malls said.
The launch marks COS’s entry into the Indian market, with a 4,000 sq. ft. store located on the ground floor of the upscale shopping centre. The brand is known for its minimalist aesthetic, high-quality materials, and seasonless designs aimed at the premium fashion consumer.
“This will be the country launch store, and the brand plans to expand its presence further in metro cities,” Jayen Naik, chief operations officer of Nexus Select Malls, told ETRetail. H&M Group declined to comment on the development.
COS—short for Collection of Style—is positioned as H&M Group’s second-largest brand and contrasts with its fast-fashion counterpart by embracing a slower, more sustainable design philosophy with timeless collections and neutral palettes. It is part of a broader portfolio that includes brands such as Monki, Weekday, Arket, & Other Stories, and Sellpy.
Nexus Select CITYWALK has increasingly become a launchpad for international brands entering India. In recent months, the mall has welcomed brands like Nespresso, Footlocker, NARS, and Prada Beauty. Upcoming launches include Gucci Beauty and Guerlain, expected to debut in fiscal year 2026.
Looking ahead, Nexus Select Trust, which currently operates 18 malls across India, plans to expand its portfolio to 30 malls by FY29-30. The group currently manages 10.4 million sq. ft. of retail space and aims to double that over the next five years through a mix of acquisitions and new project takeovers.
Nexus Select reported a 6% year-on-year increase in revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2025, despite overall retail consumption being affected by sluggish demand in apparel and cinema categories. However, growth in the beauty segment and increased footfalls in foodservice offerings have helped drive traffic.
