New Delhi, Jan 2 : A short vacation video of Sara Tendulkar from Goa has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread debate and renewed discussion on the scrutiny faced by children of public figures.
The clip shows Sara walking along a Goan street with friends, holding a bottle that some social media users speculated to be beer. The video, shared widely across platforms, drew mixed reactions, with a section of users criticising her, while many others came out strongly in her defence.
Several netizens questioned why a casual holiday moment had turned into a talking point, attributing the attention largely to the fact that she is the daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Some comments went further, dragging Sachin Tendulkar into the discussion, which in turn prompted sharp backlash from other users.
Supporters pointed out that there was no confirmation about what the bottle contained or even when the video was recorded, calling the criticism unfair, intrusive and unnecessary. Many stressed that Sara is an adult and entitled to her private life.
