Ranchi, Jan 14: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) on Saturday met Jharkhand Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Rural Development Alamgir Alam to discuss concerns about the recently passed Agriculture Fee Bill. The bill has caused confusion and concern among traders, farmers, and business organizations throughout the state.
During the meeting, Chamber President Kishor Mantri stated that the bill is baseless and could lead to increased corruption if implemented. He urged the government to intervene and take steps to permanently abolish the bill. He also suggested that the government focus on developing agriculture markets in the state as a model for farmers’ development.
Congress Party members, including General Secretary Ajaynath Shahdev and Jharkhand Professional Congress’s Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, also attended the meeting and agreed that the bill is impractical and should be withdrawn. They stated that the bill’s impact on the state’s farmers and food processing industries would not be positive.
Alam assured the Chamber President of necessary cooperation in resolving the issue. Other members of the Chamber of Commerce delegation were also present at the meeting.
