Jharkhand government transfers holi gift to women under Maiya Samman Yojana

Ranchi, Mar 13 : The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand has given a significant financial boost to women ahead of Holi under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, transferring Rs 7500 as a three-month honorarium into beneficiaries’ accounts. The scheme, which initially provided Rs 1000 per month, has been revised to Rs 2500 per month.

In Ranchi district, 3,08,280 beneficiaries are receiving the financial aid, with a total transfer of Rs 231 crore 18 lakh 72 thousand 500 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The payments cover the months of January, February, and March and also include beneficiaries whose applications were approved in February.

The initiative has been described as a big gift on Holi, bringing joy to recipients. Women beneficiaries have expressed happiness at receiving the assistance before the festival.
