Noida, Mar 31: A red Lamborghini struck two workers on a footpath near an under-construction complex in Noida’s Sector 94 on Saturday evening, police said.
A video of the incident shows the sports car on the footpath as workers in safety helmets and orange jackets rushed towards it. One worker confronted the driver, asking, “Have you learnt a lot of stunts? Do you know how many people have died here?”
The driver, appearing nonchalant, responded, “Did anyone die here?”
The two injured workers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and are out of danger, police said.
The Lamborghini, registered in Puducherry, rammed into a tree, its front facing the opposite end of the road. The driver defended himself, saying, “I gently pressed the accelerator,” to which a worker responded, “Did you press it gently?”
Police have taken the driver into custody and seized the vehicle.
