Patna, Aug 24: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday launched the ‘Bihar Vidya Sathi’, a 24×7 interactive digital education platform aimed at providing personalised academic support to around three lakh students enrolled in 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan Model Schools across all 38 districts of the state.
The platform was launched through video conferencing from Patna and will provide students of Classes 9 to 12 with round-the-clock access to live teachers, allowing them to choose educators according to their academic requirements and convenience.
“This is an important initiative towards providing quality education and proper guidance to the children,” Choudhary said.
Under the initiative, around 75,000 teachers will provide personalised educational support to students. Learners will also be able to raise questions through one-to-one interactions and receive solutions to their academic doubts.
Students of Classes 9 and 10 will receive assistance in all subjects, while those in Classes 11 and 12, particularly science students, will get digital study material and live tutoring for Bihar Board examinations as well as competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET.
The platform will also use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve students’ conceptual understanding and provide unlimited opportunities for study and practice.
“Efforts will be made to further improve students’ concept learning through modern AI tools,” the Chief Minister said.
In Sheohar district, students of Classes 9 to 12 from eight Saraswati Vidya Niketan schools will access the facility through the FILO app. District Magistrate Pratibha Rani directed the District Education Officer to launch an awareness campaign among students and parents to familiarise them with the platform and its benefits.
Students Jahnavi and Jiya demonstrated the use of the app during the launch programme.
The Chief Minister said the initiative would ensure that students have access to academic guidance irrespective of where they are or when they study.
“Wherever you are, have the answers to your questions and the support of your teacher with you,” he said.
The government plans to assess the experience and results of the programme in the 700 model schools before expanding it to other schools across the state.
Choudhary urged students to make maximum use of the platform to strengthen their educational capabilities and develop knowledge and skills.
“Wherever the students are, whenever they study, answers to their questions and support from the teacher are always with them,” he said.
