Arail, India, Dec 24: A first-of-its-kind Startup Pavilion will be featured at the Mahakumbh-2025 in the Arail area, offering schoolchildren and youths a unique opportunity to gain early exposure to the world of entrepreneurship. The pavilion, set to run from January 15 to February end, will showcase nearly 2,000 startups from across India, aiming to engage young minds and foster a new generation of entrepreneurs.
Organized by private company Evolife Limited, the initiative is supported by a dozen incubation centres, including five from Uttar Pradesh. The pavilion’s goal is to provide students, particularly those in classes 10 and 12, with a deeper understanding of startups while offering them a chance to interact with successful entrepreneurs, as per Hindustan Times.
“The initiative would provide students of classes 10 and 12 an opportunity to not only understand the concept of a startup but also interact with common man-turned entrepreneurs,” said Amit Jauhri, one of the directors of Evolife Limited. He highlighted the importance of creating a platform to make the concept of startups more accessible to the masses.
Located in a German Hanger, the pavilion will feature over 100 enclosures, designed similarly to a Trade Fair. A stage will also be set up, where celebrity entrepreneurs will share their success stories and engage with visitors.
The project, with an estimated budget of ₹55 crore, will be presented to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit on December 23, 2024. There are plans to rename the pavilion to “Mukhyamantri Startup Pavilion.”
Prominent figures from India’s startup ecosystem, including Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta of Boat, Vijay Shekhar Sharma of PayTM, Sanjeev Barnwal of Meesho, and Kunal Shah of Cred, are being invited to the event to narrate their entrepreneurial journeys and answer questions from the youth.
Registration for the incubation centres will open by the end of this year, with startups being allotted enclosures for specific days during the fair. The initiative is set to make a lasting impact, inspiring the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in India.
