Ranchi, May 12 : The bodies of two unidentified men with their throats slit were discovered in a deserted area under the Dhurwa Police Station limits in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Monday morning, local authorities said.
Police suspect the victims were murdered on Sunday night and their bodies subsequently abandoned at the site.
“The two bodies are yet to be identified. The deceased would be between 20 and 22 years of age. We have initiated a probe into the matter,” said Hatia Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pramod Kumar Mishra.
According to officials, both men had their throats slit with a sharp object. The police are working to establish their identities and trace those responsible for the killings. An investigation is underway.
