With a career spanning Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, Siddharth has not only earned fame for his acting but also ventured into production, screenwriting, and playback singing.
Born on April 17, 1979, in Chennai, Siddharth began his career with Tamil films, making a significant debut in the 2002 film Kannathil Muthamittal. His recognition in Bollywood came with his role in Rang De Basanti (2006), which cemented his place in the Hindi film industry. Over the years, Siddharth’s professional journey has seen him evolve into a multifaceted entertainer. He continues to be a prominent figure in both the South Indian and Bollywood film industries.
While his career has been marked with success, Siddharth’s personal life has also attracted much attention. His first marriage to Meghna Narayan in 2002 ended in 2007 due to personal differences. In an interview with Vogue, Aditi recalled the proposal, saying, “Siddharth proposed to me at my grandmother’s school… He wanted to take me to a place that meant so much to me, and that’s where he proposed. I couldn’t refuse because he seemed like a true and good person to me.”
The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony, wed in a historic 400-year-old temple, the Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, in the Wanaparthy district of Telangana. The sacred setting added a special touch to their union.
On the professional front, Siddharth remains active, with his most recent film Test (2025), starring Nayanthara and R Madhavan, now available on Netflix. The film has garnered attention for its unique storyline and strong performances, further highlighting Siddharth’s versatility as an actor.
