Patna, Sep 17: Bihar has stepped up efforts to attract investments in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector, showcasing its industrial ecosystem and policy framework at SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi.
The three-day event, being held from September 17 to 19 at Yashobhoomi, has provided the state an opportunity to engage with global industry stakeholders and explore investment and technology partnership opportunities.
The Bihar delegation, led by Resident Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh and Director, MSME, Industries Department, Aman Sameer, held discussions with representatives from the United States and Japan on potential investments, technical cooperation and industrial partnerships in the semiconductor sector.
During the interactions, investors were briefed about Bihar’s industrial ecosystem, policy framework and the potential for developing semiconductor and related manufacturing capabilities in the state.
The delegation also participated in Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings with investors, industry representatives and other stakeholders to discuss sector-specific investment opportunities.
Officials highlighted the support, facilities and incentives available from the state government to facilitate investments.
Bihar’s Industrial Policy and Semiconductor Policy 2026 were prominently showcased at the event, with officials highlighting the state’s evolving industrial infrastructure and investment-oriented approach.
The participation is aimed at strengthening Bihar’s engagement with the global semiconductor industry and exploring opportunities for investment, technology partnerships and industrial cooperation.
Through its participation in SEMICON India 2026, the Industries Department is positioning Bihar as a potential investment destination for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
