Ranchi, Sep 4: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries has nominated its member Vivek Agrawal as a member of the Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of the Ranchi Railway Division, with his tenure set to continue until August 31, 2028.

The nomination comes after the previous term of the DRUCC ended on August 31, 2026. The Ranchi Railway Division subsequently invited nominations for new representatives, following which the Federation nominated Agrawal to represent the interests and concerns of railway users, traders and entrepreneurs.

The Chamber’s office-bearers and members congratulated Agrawal on his nomination and wished him a successful tenure. His appointment is expected to provide a platform for raising issues related to railway passengers as well as the trade and industrial community of Ranchi and Jharkhand.

Chamber President Aditya Malhotra said the Ranchi Railway Division had consistently given due consideration to suggestions put forward by the Federation on issues concerning trade, industry and passengers.

“The Ranchi Railway Division has consistently given serious consideration to the suggestions put forward by the Federation Chamber,” Malhotra said.

He added that the railway department has accorded importance to the Chamber’s suggestions on matters concerning trade, industry and passengers.

Malhotra said Agrawal’s nomination as the Chamber’s representative in the DRUCC would help effectively highlight the problems and expectations of railway passengers, traders and entrepreneurs before the railway authorities.

“The nomination of Vivek Agrawal as the Chamber’s representative in the DRUCC would certainly play an important role in effectively raising the problems and expectations of railway passengers, traders and entrepreneurs of Ranchi and Jharkhand,” he said.
