NLMC to E-Auction 459 RINL land parcels in Visakhapatnam

New Delhi, September 1: The National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC) has announced an online auction of 459 land parcels owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, as part of efforts to unlock the value of surplus government assets.

The properties, spread across HB Colony in Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar in Gajuwaka, cover a combined area of about 93,572.21 square yards. Individual plots range from nearly 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards.The majority of the properties are located in HB Colony, where 456 residential MIG and LIG plots are available.

The area is an established urban locality with civic infrastructure and concrete roads ranging from 24 to 60 feet in width. The plots are also situated close to National Highway 16.

In Auto Nagar, the portfolio includes a 2,728-square-yard combined parcel in Block 2, considered suitable for commercial and logistics activities, besides two residential plots in Block 3.

The main Auto Nagar parcel is located around 500 metres from NH-16.The auction will be conducted through the RailTel e-tender/e-procurement platform on October 12 and October 16, 2026.

Prospective bidders will have to register online, complete the required KYC verification and deposit an earnest money deposit of Rs 2 lakh for each plot, as per the auction conditions.

Quikr India Private Limited has been appointed as the transaction adviser for the sale process.The initiative is in line with NLMC’s mandate to facilitate the monetisation of surplus land and non-core assets held by Central Public Sector Enterprises and government agencies through a structured and transparent mechanism.

NLMC is a wholly owned government company under the administrative control of the Department of Public Enterprises in the Ministry of Finance.

RINL, the corporate entity associated with the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, operates under the Ministry of Steel and is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise.
