New Delhi, August 28: Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan will undertake a three-day visit to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep from August 29 to 31, during which he will participate in programmes covering education, public service, cultural heritage, fisheries and industry-academia cooperation.
Radhakrishnan will begin his tour in Tamil Nadu on August 29 by attending the Founder’s Day celebrations of the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust in Erode.
He will later travel to Bengaluru, where he will be the chief guest at a function commemorating the birth centenary of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde at Vidhana Soudha.On August 30, the Vice-President will visit Kerala.
His programme will begin in Alappuzha, where he will participate in celebrations marking the 115th anniversary of Kerala Kaumudi at Leo XIII Higher Secondary School.
He will subsequently travel to Pathanamthitta to inaugurate the Aranmula Water Festival 2026, a prominent traditional event associated with Kerala’s cultural heritage.
Radhakrishnan will then travel to Thiruvananthapuram, where he is scheduled to inaugurate an Onam-related cultural celebration.
On August 31, the Vice-President will visit Agatti in Lakshadweep and attend a programme organised by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying as the chief guest.
The programme will focus on awareness related to fisheries and allied activities.After returning to Kerala, Radhakrishnan will participate in the silver jubilee celebrations of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in Kakkanad, Kochi.
He will also attend Confluence 3.0, an industry-academia summit being organised at the RSET auditorium. The summit will provide a platform for interaction between academic institutions and industry stakeholders, with emphasis on collaboration, innovation and skill development.
The Vice-President’s packed itinerary brings together programmes related to education, cultural traditions, public service, fisheries and institutional cooperation, highlighting the diverse social and economic activities across the regions he will visit.
