Chaibasa, July 24: A delegation of the Agricultural Non-Gazetted Association on Thursday met Abubakar Siddique P., Secretary of Jharkhand’s Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department, and urged the government to expedite the formulation of long-pending clerical cadre service rules and clear the backlog in employee promotions.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted issues concerning the pending service rules for the clerical cadre in the Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Conservation and Forest departments, stating that the delay has adversely affected the career progression of employees.
Union leaders said the absence of service rules has left employees without adequate promotional opportunities and called for immediate intervention by the department.
“The absence of clerical cadre service rules is hindering employees’ career advancement,” the union leaders said.
They further urged the government to resolve the issue without further delay.
“The long-pending service rules and stalled promotions should be resolved at the earliest,” they added.
The delegation also apprised the Secretary of the need for early implementation of the pending clerical cadre rules to ensure timely promotions and career advancement for employees across the concerned departments.
The delegation comprised Mo Samiuddin, State President of the Agricultural Non-Gazetted Association, Arvind Tiwari, Shivesh Kumar, Om Prakash, Sant Kumar Jha, Shailendra Tiwari, Sharmila Thakur, and Virendra Kumar Yadav, General Secretary.
The association expressed hope that the department would take prompt steps to address the long-pending demands and provide relief to employees awaiting promotions.
