Ranchi, July 17 : The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) will conduct the Jharkhand Field Worker Competitive Examination-2024 on July 19, with more than 3.22 lakh candidates set to appear across the state. The examination will be held in three shifts at 813 examination centres located in district headquarters across Jharkhand.
According to the commission, a total of 3,22,867 candidates have registered for the recruitment examination. The JSSC, in coordination with the district administration, has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the examination is conducted in a fair, transparent and malpractice-free manner.
Candidates will take the examination using OMR answer sheets, while admit cards and detailed examination guidelines have already been made available on the commission’s official website. Authorities have also strengthened security arrangements, with strict monitoring planned at all examination centres.The commission has imposed a complete ban on electronic gadgets inside examination centres.
Candidates will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices or any other electronic equipment into the examination halls.
The commission also revealed that 89,356 applications were cancelled during the scrutiny process as the candidates had failed to complete the online application procedure. Online applications for the examination were invited between August 1 and September 8, 2024.
The examination will be conducted in three sessions. The first shift will be held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the second shift from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and the third shift from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The recruitment examination is considered significant as it aims to fill Field Worker posts in the state, with thousands of aspirants competing for the vacancies under the JSSC recruitment process.
