Ranchi, July 9 : Jharkhand received strong investment interest from global and domestic industry leaders during a series of Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on the second day of the National Stakeholders’ Consultation 2026. The discussions focused on investment, tourism, renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, skill development and industrial infrastructure.

A high-level delegation from Singapore, led by High Commissioner Simon Wong Wie Kuen, expressed interest in establishing long-term partnerships with Jharkhand. The delegation proposed setting up Skill Centres and Centres of Excellence, adopting Singapore’s vocational training model, undertaking industrial and skill mapping, and collaborating in healthcare, medical education, research and hospital infrastructure. Soren welcomed the proposals and assured full support for preparing a structured roadmap for future collaboration.

Representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) presented proposals to strengthen Jharkhand’s renewable energy ecosystem through investments in solar and wind power, smart metering, transmission infrastructure, grid modernisation, renewable energy manufacturing and digital energy management. The Chief Minister appreciated the proposals and said the government would take the discussions forward to promote sustainable industrial growth and clean energy investments.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) proposed measures to position Jharkhand as a leading destination for nature tourism, destination weddings, sports tourism and MICE tourism. The recommendations included tourism infrastructure development, destination management, trained tourist guides, hospitality reforms and improved connectivity. Soren reiterated the government’s commitment to building a sustainable tourism ecosystem that generates employment and strengthens the state’s tourism profile.

Online travel platform EaseMyTrip announced that it would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jharkhand government to promote tourism through travel influencers and digital content creators. MakeMyTrip also expressed interest in partnering with the state to market Jharkhand’s tourist destinations through its digital platform and marketing network.

The Chief Minister also held discussions with Hero Cycles and Avon Cycles on setting up bicycle and electric bicycle manufacturing facilities in Jharkhand. The proposed investment, estimated between ₹500 crore and ₹1,000 crore, is expected to strengthen the state’s manufacturing ecosystem and generate employment.

In another meeting, the FICCI Tourism Federation proposed developing an international-standard golf course and golf tourism hub in Ranchi. The state government expressed its willingness to provide suitable land for the project, stating that it would boost sports tourism, hospitality, real estate development, employment generation and Jharkhand’s global tourism profile.

Addressing the delegations, Soren said, “The Government of Jharkhand is committed to creating an investor-friendly ecosystem through transparent governance, policy support and continuous stakeholder engagement.”
