Dimapur, march 21: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr, emphasising the values of peace, unity and harmony.
In a message issued from Lok Bhavan on March 20, the Governor said that the festival marks the culmination of Ramadan, a period devoted to prayer, reflection and compassion.
“It is a time to celebrate the spirit of generosity, unity, and goodwill that binds communities together. May this auspicious occasion inspire us to uphold the values of peace, harmony, and mutual respect,” he said.
Yadav conveyed his wishes for happiness, prosperity and good health to all, expressing hope that the festival would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and togetherness among all sections of society.
In a separate message, the Chief Minister wished that the festival would bring joy and happiness to all. He said the occasion should inspire kindness, gratitude and compassion, while fostering unity, strengthening relationships and promoting peace and harmony across communities.
