RANCHI: Usha Martin University celebrated its 3rd Convocation Ceremony at the university campus on Monday, marking a proud milestone in its academic journey.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Arif Mohammed Khan, Governor of Bihar, who delivered the Convocation Address. He encouraged graduating students to uphold ethical values and contribute responsibly to society.
A total of 1,191 degrees were awarded, including 773 undergraduate, 166 postgraduate, and 233 diploma certificates. Nineteen scholars were conferred with Ph.D. degrees. Recognising academic excellence, the University awarded 21 Gold Medals and 19 Silver Medals to meritorious students.

The University conferred Honoris Causa degrees upon Harivansh Narayan Singh for his distinguished contributions to journalism and public life, and Subba Rao Pampana, Managing Director of SS Energy Ventures Group, for his leadership in the energy sector and commitment to sustainable industrial development.
The programme began with the academic procession, followed by the National Song, National Anthem, and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik presented the University report before the formal conferment of medals and degrees.
Attended by the Chancellor, Chairman, senior academic officials, faculty members, and staff, the ceremony concluded with the National Song and National Anthem.
