Hyderabad, Sep 25— Telangana’s Rishab Agarwal and Harsha Oruganti won the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively at the AITA Rs 2 lakh prize-money tennis tournament at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy here.
Rishab defeated Tamil Nadu’s Rohith Gobinath 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3 in the men’s final.
After dropping the opening set, Rishab fought back to level the contest by winning the second-set tie-break 7-2 before sealing the deciding set 6-3.
In the women’s final, Harsha registered a 6-3, 6-0 win over fellow Telangana player Aniha Gavinolla.
The men’s doubles title went to Rajasthan’s Antariksh Verma and Maharashtra’s Pranav Korade, while Telangana’s Sai Ananya Varanasi and Omna Yadav Davunaboina claimed the women’s doubles title.
The tournament carried a total prize purse of Rs 2 lakh and was held at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad.
