Jamshedpur, September 9: Loyola School celebrated Teachers’ Day on Friday with a ceremony in the Fasy Auditorium that combined prayer, cultural performances and tributes to educators.

The event, organised by the Student Council, opened with a prayer led by Rector Fr. Michael Thanaraj. Students performed songs, dances, a choral recitation and delivered a speech, drawing praise from Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes, who urged them to always respect and value their teachers.

Following the cultural programme, teachers attended a special session of prayer and reflection led by Fr. Fernandes before being presented with tokens of appreciation.

School leaders said the celebration was both a gesture of gratitude and a reminder of the vocation of teaching, aimed at inspiring teachers to continue their efforts and students to honour the guidance they receive.
