Ranchi, May 23: The state government has started preparations for the famous Shravani Mela 2025 to be held in Deoghar from July with a promise to make it a more grand look this year.
Chief minister Hemant Soren held a high-level review meeting with Baba Baidyanath Dham Basukinath Tirtha Kshetra Vikas Pradhikaran and senior officials at Ranchi on Friday.
On this occasion, he asked the officials to work towards giving an even more grand look to the Shravani Mela this time.
Hemant Soren told the officials that the Shravani Mela in Deoghar and Basukinath Dham is an event related to the prestige of Jharkhand. Every year lakhs of devotees reach here, due to which the state has got a unique identity in the country and the world. This year about 50 lakh devotees are expected to come. In such a situation, there should be no shortage in fair management.
Hemant Soren directed all the departments to finalize the preparations related to the fair with mutual coordination. He asked the chief secretary to ensure that there is constant monitoring of security, cleanliness, electricity, water, toilets, bathrooms, health services and traffic management.
The Chief Minister emphasized that all arrangements should be focused on making the experience of the devotees pleasant.
The Chief Minister suggested temporary use of vacant land along the fair route. He said that after taking consent from the concerned farmers, necessary facilities like a rest house, toilet and bathroom should be established there. After the completion of the fair, the land should be cleaned and handed back. He also gave instructions to ensure separate living and food arrangements for women and children.
In view of the huge crowd of devotees, the Chief Minister directed the officials to strengthen crowd control and traffic management. He said that adequate security forces should be deployed in the fair route and the speed limit of vehicles should be determined and strictly followed. Apart from this, high definition cameras and vehicle number plate reading systems should be installed so that any rule violation can be monitored.
The Chief Minister ordered a QR Based Complaint System for quick resolution of the problems of devotees. He said that through this system, devotees will be able to immediately register complaints of any kind of problem or inconvenience and it will be resolved quickly.
Apart from this, VIP darshan will be postponed during the fair and priority will be given to common devotees.
