Ranchi, July 5: The Jharkhand government on Tuesday released the draft Jharkhand Textile, Apparel & Footwear Policy 2026 and the Jharkhand Industrial Investment Promotion Policy (JIIPP) 2026, inviting public feedback ahead of finalisation as part of its efforts to accelerate industrial growth and attract investments.

The draft policies have been uploaded on the Jharkhand Single Window Portal, allowing industry representatives, trade bodies, experts and members of the public to submit suggestions before the final frameworks are notified.

As part of the consultation process, the state government will organise a two-day National Stakeholder Consultation Meet in New Delhi on July 8 and 9, where industry leaders, manufacturing firms, textile sector experts and economists will discuss the proposed policies and offer recommendations.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will lead a dedicated stakeholder consultation session on July 9, during which feedback received on the draft policies will be reviewed, according to an official statement.

The government said several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed during the event, aimed at promoting industrial investment, employment generation and collaboration across key sectors.

Officials said placing the draft policies in the public domain before cabinet approval reflects the state’s commitment to transparency, participatory governance and evidence-based policymaking.

The proposed Textile, Apparel & Footwear Policy seeks to promote investment and manufacturing in the textile value chain, while the Industrial Investment Promotion Policy is aimed at creating a more competitive business environment and positioning Jharkhand as an attractive investment destination.

The government has urged stakeholders and interested citizens to review the draft policies on the Jharkhand Single Window Portal and submit their suggestions for consideration before the policies are finalised.
