Ranchi, May 15: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi reported a sharp improvement in final placement outcomes for its 2023–2025 batch, with the highest domestic cost-to-company (CTC) package rising by 33% year-on-year.

A total of 96 recruiters participated across the institute’s three MBA programmes, with leading offers coming from sectors such as banking, fintech, consulting and e-commerce. The top 10 percentile of students saw a 7.7% increase in average CTC, while the top 25 percentile experienced a 6.6% rise.

The MBA programme recorded a highest annual package of ₹50.39 lakh, with an overall average CTC of ₹19.29 lakh. Nearly 20% of MBA students secured pre-placement offers (PPOs), averaging ₹20.85 lakh.

In the MBA-HR programme, the highest package touched ₹35.30 lakh, with 30% of students receiving PPOs. The MBA-BA programme reported its highest offer at ₹27.94 lakh, with nearly 44% of its students placed in the BFSI and fintech sectors.

Recruiters included American Express, Accenture, Amazon, Deloitte, GAIL, HSBC, Titan, Wipro and Vedanta. The number of participating companies in strategy and consulting roles grew by 33%, while PPOs in sales and marketing rose by 28.6%.

Director Deepak Srivastava attributed the success to the institute’s multidisciplinary approach. “This approach is prioritized for final-year students to ensure their holistic development, aligning with market demands for versatile professionals,” he said.

IIM Ranchi’s corporate engagement efforts included visits to 110 new companies, 89 leadership talks and 119 virtual live projects throughout the academic year, the institute said in a statement.
