Ranchi, Sep 18: IIM Ranchi has made its debut in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027, securing a place in the 201+ global band in both the Master’s in Management and Master’s in Business Analytics categories, the institute said.
In the Master’s in Management category, IIM Ranchi was ranked 21st in Asia, while in Master’s in Business Analytics (MBA-BA), it secured the 16th position in Asia. The institute said the rankings mark a significant milestone in its efforts to strengthen its global presence and academic standing.
The QS Business Master’s Rankings evaluate programmes on five parameters — Employability (35 per cent), Alumni Outcomes (15 per cent), Value for Money (20 per cent), Thought Leadership (20 per cent) and Diversity (10 per cent).
Employability and Alumni Outcomes together account for half of the overall ranking methodology, placing significant emphasis on career-related outcomes.
In Master’s in Management, IIM Ranchi recorded scores of 37.2 in Employability, 20 in Alumni Outcomes, 32.7 in Value for Money, 32.5 in Thought Leadership and 21.8 in Diversity.
For Master’s in Business Analytics, the institute scored 27.8 in Employability, 20 in Alumni Outcomes, 27.3 in Value for Money, 31.1 in Thought Leadership and 25 in Diversity.
The institute said the parameters collectively assess a programme’s professional relevance, career outcomes, financial value, academic influence and inclusiveness.
Earlier this year, IIM Ranchi secured Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation. It was also recognised in the QS World University Rankings for its Executive MBA programme, where it was placed in the 201+ global band and ranked 33rd in the Asia-Pacific region.
The institute said the latest recognitions reflect its sustained efforts towards strengthening management education and validating its global academic standards.
