Ranchi, Aug. 5: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced that he will visit Jharkhand to extend support to students protesting against alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and other recruitment examinations, describing his youth movement as a pressure group committed to raising public issues.
Dipke made the announcement while speaking to reporters in his hometown of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar ahead of a core team meeting of the CJP.
He said the organisation would, for the time being, function as a pressure group, arguing that such an approach is needed in the current socio-political environment.
“Our youth movement will currently function as a pressure group. The country needs such an approach at this time,” Dipke said.
He also confirmed that he would travel to Jharkhand to participate in the ongoing student agitation over the alleged recruitment examination irregularities and express solidarity with the protesters.
“I will travel to Jharkhand to join students protesting against alleged irregularities in the JPSC and other recruitment examinations and extend our movement’s support to their cause,” he said.
According to Dipke, the upcoming core team meeting of the CJP will deliberate on a range of national issues, including declining public trust in institutions such as the media and the judiciary, ethanol-blended fuel policy and rising unemployment.
The announcement comes amid continuing protests by students in Jharkhand demanding action over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the JPSC and other state recruitment agencies.
