New Delhi, Jul 31: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs from Jharkhand on Friday staged a protest at the Parliament complex, demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination paper leak.

The MPs gathered near the Mahatma Gandhi statue and raised concerns over alleged examination-related irregularities and recruitment issues in the state.Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Kodarma MP Annapurna Devi alleged that several incidents of examination paper leaks had been reported in Jharkhand during the tenure of the JMM-led state government.

She said that students and job aspirants had been raising concerns over the issue and that BJP representatives were seeking a thorough and independent investigation.Speaking to Akashvani News, Devi also accused the Congress of adopting different positions on similar issues in different political contexts.

Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth said that students across Jharkhand had been protesting and demanding an investigation into the alleged JPSC paper leak and purported irregularities related to JSSC recruitment examinations.

He criticised the state government’s decision to initiate a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inquiry, claiming that the probe would not adequately address the concerns raised by candidates. The BJP leaders maintained that a CBI investigation was necessary to ensure transparency, identify those responsible, and restore confidence among students and job aspirants.

The JMM-led Jharkhand government’s response to the allegations was not immediately available.
