CCL employees take cleanliness pledge as Special Campaign 6.0 preparations begin

Ranchi, Sep 15: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) on Tuesday organised cleanliness pledge programmes at its headquarters in Darbhanga House here and across its coalfields, offices and operational units as part of preparations for Special Campaign 6.0.

Senior management officials, department heads, officers and employees participated in the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining cleanliness at workplaces as well as in their surrounding communities.General Manager (CCMC) V K Shukla administered the cleanliness pledge to employees at the CCL headquarters.

Participants resolved to make cleanliness a regular part of their daily lives and extend the practice beyond their workplaces to homes, villages and neighbourhoods.As part of the pledge, employees also committed themselves to motivating at least 100 other people to take a cleanliness pledge and encouraging them to contribute 100 hours every year towards cleanliness-related activities.Special Campaign 6.0 will be implemented in phases.

The preparatory phase is scheduled from September 16 to September 30, during which various departments and units will make arrangements and identify areas requiring attention.The campaign will be formally launched on October 2, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Its implementation phase will continue from October 2 to October 31.

During the implementation period, CCL plans to undertake activities aimed at improving workplace cleanliness, addressing pending matters and promoting a more organised and efficient work environment.

The company said the initiative is intended to go beyond a time-bound cleanliness drive and encourage employees to adopt cleanliness and workplace discipline as a continuing responsibility.

The campaign will cover CCL’s headquarters, coalfields and various units, with employee participation forming a key component of the initiative.
