Jamshedpur, August 14: The Junior Section of Loyola School hosted its annual inter-school gala, KALEIDOSCOPE 2K25, on Wednesday, drawing more than 500 students from 24 schools across Jamshedpur for a day of creativity and competition under the theme “Bookworms.”

The event, aimed at fostering imagination and courage among primary school students, was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by chief guest Dr. Pinky Midha, former vice principal of Loyola Junior Section, alongside the school management. A theme song performed by the school choir and a prayer led by Rector Rev. Fr. Michael T Raj marked the opening.

Seven competitions catered to students from standards one to five, ranging from fancy dress and puppet shows to book-themed quizzes, cover design contests and poetry writing. A fashion show, Classique Couture, showcased costumes inspired by English literary classics.

Little Flower School clinched the Overall Championship Trophy, with Loyola School, Telco named first runners-up, and DBMS English School and Kerala Public School, Burmamines sharing second place.

Principal Rev. Fr. Vinod Fernandes urged schools to nurture reading habits among children, while vice principal Vineeta F. Ekka delivered the vote of thanks. The day closed with cultural performances, the national anthem and calls to continue the celebration next year.
