Jamshedpur, June 27: XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global professional services firm Accenture to deepen industry-academia collaboration, the institute said on Thursday.
The agreement, signed during an official visit by Accenture to the XLRI campus, aims to create a long-term partnership focused on student engagement, research and leadership development.
Senior representatives from both institutions attended the signing, including Fr. S George, Director, XLRI, Prof. Kanagaraj A., Convenor – Placements and Professor of Finance, Prof. Sanjay Patro, Dean – Academics and Prof. Sunil Sarangi. Accenture was represented by Lakshmi Chandrasekharan, Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer, and Suresh Nanduru, India Lead – Strategy and Consulting Global Network.

Under the MoU, XLRI and Accenture will collaborate on student hiring and internships, joint research, knowledge-sharing initiatives, executive education and leadership development. The scope also includes guest lectures, innovation and sustainability projects and CXO-level interactions.
The initiative was spearheaded by Prof. Kanagaraj and executed by Rajni Ranjan, Vice President and Head of Placements at XLRI.
Following the MoU, the institute hosted a leadership talk at the Tata Auditorium featuring Chandrasekharan and Nanduru, attended by over 1,000 students and faculty members. The session explored leadership in an AI-driven world, the future of consulting, and purpose-led career growth.
The partnership is expected to provide XLRI students with direct exposure to evolving industry trends and leadership practices, aligning with the institute’s mission to shape responsible business leaders.
