Decathlon Partners with Tata CLiQ Fashion to Expand E-Commerce Reach in India

April 29 — French sporting goods retailer Decathlon has partnered with Tata CLiQ Fashion to strengthen its e-commerce presence across India, the companies said on Monday, as part of efforts to promote greater access to sports and fitness products nationwide.

The collaboration will expand Decathlon’s reach into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, offering customers a seamless online shopping experience aligned with the company’s purpose of “moving people through the wonders of sport.”

Tata CLiQ Fashion, a fashion and lifestyle platform operated by Tata Group, will host Decathlon’s full range of products — including athleisure for men, women and children, as well as sports, fitness and outdoor equipment — across more than 24,000 pin codes in India. Shoppers will have access to over 5,000 items spanning categories such as running, cycling, football, swimming and trekking.

“India’s sports landscape is evolving rapidly, with individuals increasingly embracing fitness and an active lifestyle,” said Sankar Chatterjee, CEO of Decathlon India. “Our alliance with Tata CLiQ Fashion is a step toward making high-quality sports products more accessible, redefining the retail experience with greater convenience and inclusivity.”

Gopal Asthana, CEO of Tata CLiQ, said the sports and fitness category is one of the platform’s top-performing segments. “We are elated to expand our portfolio further with Decathlon’s vast product range, aligning with our vision to provide a complete sporting solution for every consumer,” he said.

Decathlon’s tie-up with Tata CLiQ Fashion aims to capitalize on growing consumer interest in active lifestyles, while offering a more immersive and widespread e-commerce experience across urban and rural India.
