President-elect Donald Trump vowed to take “historic speed and strength” in his first day in office, promising to sign a flurry of executive orders aimed at reshaping U.S. policy. Speaking at a “Victory Rally” in Washington D.C. on the eve of his inauguration, Trump pledged a swift, unilateral approach on a range of issues, including immigration, environmental policy, and military priorities.

“We put America first and it all starts tomorrow,” Trump told the enthusiastic crowd of thousands, celebrating his November victory over the Democrats. He assured them that they would witness an unprecedented burst of action once he takes the oath of office.

Trump is expected to sign more than 200 executive actions on Monday, a combination of legally binding executive orders and other presidential directives, including proclamations. The incoming president made it clear that one of his first acts would be to undo the policies of his predecessor, promising to repeal “every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration” within hours of assuming office.

Key initiatives outlined by Trump include:

  • Immigration: A ramped-up effort to deport undocumented immigrants, beginning with mass deportation operations.
  • Environmental Regulations:** A major rollback of regulations put in place by the Biden administration.
  • Diversity Programs: The termination of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, particularly within the military.
  • Military:In addition to eliminating DEI policies, Trump plans to direct the U.S. military to establish an Iron Dome missile defense system.
  • Artificial Intelligence: A focus on advancing AI programs and technology.
  • Government Efficiency: Trump aims to create a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to streamline federal operations.
  • JFK Assassination Records: Trump plans to declassify records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
  • Transgender Sports Participation: A ban on transgender women from competing in women’s sports categories.
  • Education: A move to return control of education policy to individual states.

As he wrapped up his speech, Trump told the crowd, “You’re going to have a lot of fun watching television tomorrow,” signaling the start of what he promised would be a whirlwind of policy changes.

With his promises of bold executive actions, Trump has made clear that his first day in office will set the tone for what he hopes will be a transformative presidency.
