Ranchi, Sep 23: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) organised a capacity-building programme on the latest features and procedures of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), with an aim to strengthen efficiency and transparency in procurement activities.
The programme was conducted under the aegis of CCL’s Vigilance Department and focused on familiarising participants with recent developments and operational procedures on the GeM platform.
Senior CCL officials, including Director (Technical/Planning and Projects) Anup Hanjura, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, General Manager (MM) Raj Kishore and General Manager (HRD) M F Haq, attended the programme.
GeM Director and Nodal Officer, Delhi, Suraj Sharma, along with his Jharkhand-based team, conducted sessions on the portal’s updated features and procurement processes.
The participants were briefed on the importance of adhering to prescribed quality standards while carrying out procurement and ensuring that purchases are made at the best available price in accordance with applicable procedures.
A total of 74 participants attended the programme. The interactive sessions provided them with an opportunity to understand recent provisions and developments on the GeM platform and improve their knowledge of digital procurement processes.
CCL said the initiative was aimed at strengthening transparent, efficient and effective procurement practices within the organisation.
