Ranchi, Sep 23: The health condition of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s mother, Rupi Soren, remained stable on Wednesday despite some fluctuations, with doctors continuing to monitor her at a private hospital in Ranchi.
Rupi Soren was admitted to Hill View Hospital on September 18 after experiencing breathing difficulties. According to the hospital, medical tests indicated signs of an infection and she has been under continuous observation.
Hill View Hospital director Dr Nitesh Priya said her condition was stable and she was receiving limited oxygen support. He added that she was not facing breathing difficulties at the time of the latest assessment.
Doctors had observed some improvement in her condition earlier, but complications reported after Tuesday prompted closer monitoring by the medical team.
According to the hospital, Hemant Soren and the hospital management have been consulting specialists and medical institutions outside Jharkhand regarding her treatment. These include Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad and Dr Kameshwar Prasad.
The chief minister is expected to hold further discussions with the treating doctors and specialists to determine the next course of treatment, the hospital said.
Rupi Soren has previously received medical treatment outside Jharkhand, including at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad, according to earlier reports.
However, the latest information available from the hospital indicates that she is currently being treated in Ranchi.
Doctors are continuing to assess her condition before taking a decision on whether any change in treatment or further specialised care is required.
