Patna, Sep 13: Bihar Chief Minister on Sunday stressed the need to expand and improve the state’s education system, saying quality education, modern resources and proper guidance were essential to harness the talent of the state’s youth.
Addressing a programme attended by educationists and newly appointed assistant professors, the Chief Minister said there was no shortage of talent among Bihar’s young people and called for sustained efforts to make education more quality-driven and beneficial for students’ futures.
“There is no dearth of talent among Bihar’s youth. They require quality education, modern resources, and proper guidance,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of capacity building of teachers and other stakeholders in the education sector, saying it was essential for improving the overall quality of education.
He called upon assistant professors to discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and commitment, expressing confidence that their contribution would strengthen Bihar’s higher education system.
“The contribution of assistant professors would provide new strength to Bihar’s higher education system,” he said.
The programme was also addressed by Higher Education Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger and Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor Deepak Kumar Singh.
Additional Secretary to the Government of India Rahul Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Jai Prakash Narayan University Prof PK Bajpai, former Patna University Vice-Chancellor Ras Bihari Singh, along with professors and senior officials, were present at the event.
The Chief Minister’s remarks underline the state’s focus on strengthening higher education and developing the capacity of teachers to provide better learning opportunities for students.
