Ranchi, September 7: South West Pinnacle Exploration Ltd has submitted a vetted Geological Report for the Jogeshwar Khas Coal Mine in Jharkhand to the Ministry of Coal, taking the project a step closer to the next stage of development.
The company said the report was reviewed and confirmed by a NABET-accredited agency through a letter dated September 6, 2026. Following the review, the company uploaded the report on the portal of the Nominated Authority under the Ministry of Coal.
A physical copy of the report will also be submitted to Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) for maintaining records related to the coal resources.The submission follows the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Nominated Authority, Ministry of Coal, on January 21, 2026, the company said.
With the geological assessment process completed, South West Pinnacle is now working on the mining plan for the project.
The plan will subsequently be submitted to the Ministry of Coal for consideration and approval.The company said it will continue coordinating with the concerned authorities to complete the remaining regulatory procedures and obtain the statutory approvals and clearances required for the eventual development and production of the mine.
The submission of the vetted report marks a significant procedural milestone for the Jogeshwar Khas Coal Mine, although commercial mining will depend on completion of the remaining approval and development processes.
