New Delhi, August 15: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) on Saturday organised a special programme in New Delhi to promote the Centre’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, encouraging citizens to display the National Flag and celebrate the country’s unity and national pride.
The event was held at the India Habitat Centre, where Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal inaugurated a dedicated Har Ghar Tiranga kiosk.HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kulshrestha and other officials and representatives were present during the programme.Speaking at the event, Manohar Lal called upon citizens to participate actively in the campaign and hoist the Tiranga at their homes.
He highlighted the National Flag as a symbol of India’s freedom, unity, identity and dignity, while urging young people to learn about the sacrifices associated with the country’s independence and uphold its national values.As part of its outreach initiative, HUDCO plans to distribute more than 5,000 National Flags through the kiosk at India Habitat Centre and its regional offices across the country.
The programme also featured participation by children from the Habitat Learning Centre, who presented a rendition of Vande Mataram.The minister later distributed National Flags among the participating children.The venue was decorated in the colours of the Tricolour, while selfie points were arranged for visitors to capture and share moments from the celebrations.
HUDCO said its initiative is aimed at expanding public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and encouraging citizens, particularly the younger generation, to celebrate India’s freedom, unity and national pride.The nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being observed from August 9 to 17, 2026.
