NEW DELHI/RANCHI, Aug. 3: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and briefed him on the prevailing situation in the state, officials said.

During the meeting, Gangwar presented the Prime Minister with a copy of “Samvad Se Vishwas” (From Dialogue to Trust), a publication brought out by Lok Bhavan documenting the major initiatives, programmes and activities undertaken during his two-year tenure as Governor.

According to Lok Bhavan, the publication chronicles the Governor’s key interventions, outreach programmes and achievements over the past two years.

“The publication compiles the major initiatives and activities undertaken during Gangwar’s two-year tenure in office,” Lok Bhavan said.

“The book highlights key interventions, programmes and achievements associated with the Governor’s office over the past two years,” it added.

The meeting came days after Gangwar completed two years in office as the Governor of Jharkhand on August 1.

Earlier during his visit to the national capital, the Governor met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him on the current situation in Jharkhand. The two leaders also discussed issues related to the state’s development, governance and other matters of public importance.

“The two leaders discussed matters concerning the state’s development, governance and other key areas of interest,” Lok Bhavan said.

The Governor also met Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, according to information released by Lok Bhavan.

Officials said the meetings formed part of Gangwar’s engagements in New Delhi on issues of significance to Jharkhand.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) also confirmed the meeting in a post on social media platform X, sharing photographs of the interaction.

“Governor of Jharkhand Santosh Kumar Gangwar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the PMO said.

No further details of the discussions between the Prime Minister and the Governor were officially disclosed.
