New Delhi, July 29 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Indian athletes Gulveer and Harjinder Kaur for winning silver medals at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, praising their outstanding performances and dedication.
Congratulating Gulveer on securing the silver medal in the men’s 10,000 metres event, the Prime Minister described his performance as exceptional and lauded his determination and commitment.

The Prime Minister also congratulated Harjinder Kaur for winning the silver medal in the women’s 69 kg weightlifting event.
Modi noted that Harjinder’s medal-winning lift was her personal best, adding that India’s weightlifters continue to deliver remarkable performances at the Commonwealth Games.
