Ranchi, July 22 : The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has postponed the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Main (Written) Competitive Examination 2025 until further orders, just days before the examination was scheduled to commence.

The commission announced the decision through an official press release issued on July 22. The examination, notified under Advertisement No. 01/2026, was scheduled to be conducted on July 25, 26 and 27 in two shifts at various examination centres across Ranchi district.

According to the commission, the examination has been deferred following directions from the state government and in view of reported irregularities related to the conduct of the examination.

JPSC stated that a revised schedule for the examination will be announced separately after further review. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the commission’s official website for the latest updates regarding the revised examination dates and related notifications.

The postponement comes as a setback for thousands of aspirants who had been preparing for the prestigious state civil services examination. However, the commission said the decision was taken to ensure a fair, transparent and smooth examination process.
