Hemant Soren holds talks with global technology leaders on vision 2050

Ranchi, July 8: The Jharkhand Government has initiated discussions with several global technology companies to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI)-driven governance, strengthen digital infrastructure, and build a future-ready workforce as part of its Vision 2050 roadmap.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren chaired a series of Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings with representatives of leading technology firms, including Google, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, AWS, Salesforce, Techstar, Leah AI, Mamsys, and other industry stakeholders during the National Stakeholders Consultation on Vision 2050 in New Delhi.

According to an official release, the discussions focused on leveraging emerging technologies to improve governance, enhance public service delivery, promote cloud adoption, and develop a skilled digital workforce capable of meeting future industry demands.

Addressing the participants, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the state’s commitment to technological innovation and said Jharkhand aims to combine its traditional knowledge with modern technology to create an inclusive and sustainable development model.

He assured industry leaders of the government’s proactive approach towards adopting advanced digital solutions.Google proposed collaboration in AI-enabled governance, smart healthcare, emergency response systems, AI-powered language solutions, and digital skilling.

The company also suggested launching a three-month AI training and certification programme for around 300,000 to 400,000 K-12 teachers and proposed signing a Statement of Intent (SoI) with the Jharkhand Government to formalise future cooperation.

Discussions also covered AI-based ambulance management and integrated healthcare platforms.Oracle expressed interest in strengthening Jharkhand’s AI, cloud computing, and digital skilling ecosystem through industry-oriented training, certification programmes, workforce development initiatives, innovation support, and capacity-building projects designed to create a future-ready talent pool.

Microsoft presented a proposal to develop a unified AI-driven Data Intelligence Platform integrating information across government departments to support evidence-based decision-making, automate administrative processes, improve data governance, and enhance digital public services through low-code technologies.

IBM proposed collaboration on AI-powered governance solutions across sectors such as mining, healthcare, banking, and cybersecurity.

The company also offered a no-cost Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate intelligent data analytics, mining monitoring systems, secure data-sharing platforms, and other AI-based governance applications tailored to the state’s requirements.

Representatives from SaaS solution providers discussed AI-powered analytics, hybrid cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and intelligent data platforms aimed at improving governance, reducing leakages in welfare schemes, strengthening public service delivery, and enhancing institutional capacity through specialised training programmes.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) proposed partnerships in secure cloud infrastructure, AI-powered data integration, digital governance, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) systems, education, and centralised decision-making dashboards.

The company also offered a no-cost Proof of Concept to showcase AI-enabled governance solutions for Jharkhand.

Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and senior officials of the state government participated in the meetings and responded to queries from industry representatives regarding the proposed collaborations.

The consultations concluded with a commitment from both the government and technology companies to build a collaborative innovation ecosystem that will support digital transformation, strengthen governance, improve citizen services, and help establish Jharkhand as a leading technology-enabled state under its Vision 2050 agenda.
