Ranchi, July 8: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday reached New Delhi with a team of senior officials to participate in the two-day National Stakeholders Consultation 2026, where the state will showcase its digital roadmap, proposed AI policy and investment opportunities to leading technology firms and policymakers.

The consultation, scheduled for July 8-9, will bring together representatives of around 100 leading technology and IT companies from India and abroad, along with industry leaders, policymakers and senior government officials. Soren is expected to hold interactions with investors and stakeholders to promote Jharkhand as an emerging destination for technology-led investments.

The discussions will focus on industrial development, investment promotion, digital governance, IT infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI) and tourism, with the state seeking to position itself as a key player in India’s digital economy.
As part of the consultation, the Jharkhand government will present its digital roadmap on a national platform and showcase the Ranchi IT Park as a national investment project for the first time.

The meeting will also deliberate on the proposed Draft AI Policy-2026 and the State AI Mission, aimed at promoting AI-driven governance, greater transparency and citizen-centric public services.

The Chief Minister is also expected to unveil the concept of the Chief Minister’s Digital Intelligence Platform (CM-DIP), an AI-enabled platform designed to integrate data from multiple government departments, strengthen monitoring of welfare schemes and improve evidence-based decision-making.

According to the government, the platform will also facilitate citizen services in local languages through WhatsApp and panchayat-level digital kiosks. The framework for an Integrated Control and Command Centre will also be presented during the consultation.

The initiative is part of the Jharkhand government’s efforts to establish a stronger identity in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital governance and IT investment while attracting technology companies and boosting employment-oriented investments in the state.
