Ranchi, July 7: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) to enhance skill development, improve industry-ready manpower and create employment opportunities for youth in the state.

The agreement was signed by FJCCI President Aditya Malhotra and JSDMS Mission Director-cum-Chief Operations Shailendra Kumar Lal, IAS, at the Chamber Bhawan in Ranchi.

Under the MoU, JSDMS will facilitate employment opportunities for candidates trained and certified under the Chief Minister’s Sarathi Scheme in accordance with the manpower requirements of FJCCI member establishments.

The two organisations will also collaborate on skill training programmes, industrial visits, on-the-job training, guest lectures and industry-oriented curriculum development to bridge the gap between training and employment.

The agreement will initially remain valid for one year and may be extended further with the mutual consent of both parties.

FJCCI said it would work to provide employment opportunities through its member industries and establishments while ensuring that selected candidates receive timely wages, statutory minimum wages and a safe working environment.

Speaking on the occasion, FJCCI President Aditya Malhotra said the partnership would help connect Jharkhand’s youth with quality employment by equipping them with skills aligned with industry requirements.

“This partnership is an important step toward connecting Jharkhand’s youth to quality employment by equipping them with skills tailored to industry needs. This will provide industries with trained human resources and boost employment and industrial development in the state,” he said.

FJCCI General Secretary Rohit Agarwal expressed confidence that the collaboration would benefit the state’s youth, industry and overall economic development.

Representatives of FJCCI, JSDMS and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) were present during the signing ceremony.
