US, Mar 7: Popular Twitch streamer Stable Ronaldo has come under criticism online after announcing a sponsorship deal with digital platform PackDraw, with several fans questioning the partnership due to concerns about chance-based rewards on the site.

The controversy began on March 6 after PackDraw confirmed on social media platform X that the streamer had joined the company as a promotional partner.PackDraw describes its service as a “gamified online shopping” experience where users purchase digital packs that may contain high-value items or smaller rewards.

The system has drawn comparisons to loot boxes in video games, as the contents are determined by probability.

According to details listed on the platform, digital packs are sold at a wide range of prices, from about $0.11 to more than $22,000. Some packs offer extremely small chances of receiving expensive products such as luxury watches, while most users receive low-value vouchers instead.

Following the announcement, criticism quickly surfaced on X, with some viewers expressing concern that the promotion could influence younger audiences who make up a significant portion of the streamer’s fan base.

The debate intensified after an older video clip of Stable Ronaldo resurfaced online. In the clip, the streamer appeared to criticize another content creator for accepting sponsorships linked to gambling or gambling-style promotions.

The clip led some fans to question the consistency of his current decision.Several users on X posted messages expressing disappointment and accusing the streamer of going against his earlier stance. Others suggested the move was financially motivated.

Neither Stable Ronaldo nor PackDraw had publicly responded to the criticism at the time the backlash spread across social media. The incident has renewed discussion within the streaming community about the ethics of promoting platforms that use chance-based reward systems, particularly when creators have large audiences that include younger viewers.
