New Delhi, Sep 21: Honda has launched the CB500 motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the motorcycle have also opened through Honda BigWing dealerships.
The motorcycle was first unveiled in India in July 2026 as part of Honda’s broader motorcycle portfolio showcased during the period.
The CB500 is powered by a 501cc, air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 27.6 bhp of power and 43.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine is designed to deliver a torque-focused riding character in keeping with the motorcycle’s retro-oriented positioning.
With its launch, the CB500 enters the premium motorcycle segment above Honda’s CB350 range. The motorcycle’s single-cylinder engine and retro styling are expected to distinguish it from other models in the segment.
The CB500 will compete with motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and BSA Gold Star 650 in the Indian market.
Honda is offering the motorcycle through its BigWing retail network, which caters to the company’s premium motorcycle range. Bookings are now open, with deliveries expected to follow the launch schedule announced by the company.
The launch expands Honda’s premium motorcycle portfolio in India and adds another option for buyers seeking a larger-capacity retro-styled motorcycle.
